Our module glass has received three awards
We only use glass with anti-reflective coating from our sister company, Centrosolar Glas GmbH & Co. KG when producing our modules. In 2007 and 2008, Centrosolar Glas received three awards for the development of this anti-reflective solar glass. In December 2007, the patented anti-reflective coating procedure was honoured with the Solar Award by the City of Furth, followed by the Bavarian Innovation Prize in 2008 and the Bavarian Energy Award.
Higher yields with anti-reflective solar glass
The awards honoured the process which covers the glass with an anti-reflective nano-coating. The resulting improvement to the specialized glass means that it reflects less light, giving it higher transmittance than traditional glass. In addition, the light transmission is increased in oblique or diffuse lighting conditions. This special glass increases the yield of photovoltaic modules by up to 6 percent.
